The Art & Environment Committee plans and executes the decorating of our worship spaces during liturgical seasons and ordinary time. They meet throughout the year as needed.
Cantors & Choir

Cantors
Cantors assist the assembly in their sung prayer by leading the Responsorial Psalm, Gospel Acclamation, and the Lamb of God. Training is provided and cantors rehearse as needed throughout the year.
Choir
Our parish is known for its wonderful adult choir that assists and embellishes the assembly in their sung prayer. The choir sings at the 8:15 a.m. Sunday Mass and for special parish celebrations throughout the year. The choir rehearses after Mass as needed.
Eucharistic Ministers
Mary Borgen, Ministry Lead
Eucharistic ministers assist the priest in distributing the sacred Body and Blood of Christ to God’s people. Training is provided.
Greeters
Karen Schreiner, Ministry Lead
Shepherd of the Hills Parish prides itself on being a welcoming parish community. Parishioners young and old, couples, singles are invited to serve in the ministry of greeter to welcome people as they gather for Mass. Greeters are especially attentive to visitors and newcomers to our parish as Christ has instructed us to welcome the stranger. Training is provided.
Lectors
Steve Roltgen, Ministry Lead
Lectors proclaim the Word of God and lead us in the General Intercessions at our celebration of the Eucharist. Training and a lector workbook are provided.
Servers
Fr. Mark Jones, Ministry Lead
Boys and girls (fourth grade and older) from the parish are invited to assist the priest at the altar by participating in the ministry of serving. Training is provided.
Ushers
Tom Roehl, Ministry Lead
High school youth and men and women of the parish serve as ushers at weekend and holyday Masses. They assist in finding seats for worshippers, in collecting the monetary offering at the preparation of the gifts, in ensuring a reverent procession to communion, and in distributing bulletins after Mass. They also create an environment of welcome for parishioners and guests as they gather for worship. Training is provided.
