Walking With Purpose - Women's Bible Study

Fall 2026 Women's Bible Study
Shepherd of the Hills offers all women of faith Bible studies that have proven to deepen their faith through the teachings of God. This fall, we will be offering a 9-week study titled Reclaiming Friendships. The study will start in late September or early October. Early registrants will receive their study guide and schedule in early September. Sessions will be held on Wednesday mornings after Mass and Thursday evenings. There is also a Zoom option available for both days!
Reclaiming Friendships was written for any woman who wants a true and deep connection that lasts. Explore what it takes to stay close for the long haul, what to look for in a friend, and how to navigate toxic relationships. There is a way to protect your heart without closing yourself off from future intimacy. The key is found in discovering God’s plan for friendship, which was meant to be a foretaste of heaven.
In a world plagued by loneliness, you are invited to encounter God personally through Scripture. Let God reshape how you see and experience intentional relationships, deal with your past friendship wounds, and become a woman who is capable of the lifelong bond of true friendship.
Reclaiming Friendships is ideal if you…
- Are lonely and desire lasting friendships
- Need to know and understand what it means that God created each of us in His image
- Crave an authentic community, the kind in which we experience His joy and goodness
All women are welcome to join us for coffee and meaningful conversation as we watch one of the videos. No previous experience is necessary. Just come as you are—with your questions, doubts, joys, and hopes. We have an empty chair and a cup of coffee waiting for you!
Babysitting will be provided free of charge.
We hope you can join us on Wednesday, September 27, at 9:15 am (right after the 8:30 am Mass) or on Thursday, September 28, at 6:00 pm in the Shepherd of the Hills Coffee House.
For more information, contact Sue Braun or Kathy Teofilo.

The Christian Women's Society consists of all the female members of the parish after high school graduation. The society provides opportunities for spiritual growth, socialization, and service within the parish and community. The Christian Women sponsor various activities, including a Lenten morning of reflection, an annual Christmas party, secret pal, church cleaning, fundraisers, etc.
The Christian Women have several subcommittees, including:
- Funeral Committee - who prepare and serve funeral luncheons
- Welcoming Committee - who coordinate the formal welcoming of new parishioners and newborn babies into the parish.
The Christian Women also sponsor the Quilters, who meet on Tuesdays at 9:00 am. The quilters work together to make quilts that are donated to the needy, the missions, and raffles.
Activities and meetings of the Christian Women's Society are published in the bulletin.
