Societies & Clubs

Christian Women Society

The Christian Women's Society consists of all the female members of the parish after high school graduation. The society provides opportunities for spiritual growth, socialization, and service within the parish and community. The Christian Women sponsor various activities, including a Lenten morning of reflection, an annual Christmas party, secret pal, church cleaning, fundraisers, etc.

The Christian Women have several subcommittees, including:

  • Funeral Committee who prepare and serve funeral luncheons
  • Welcoming Committee - who coordinate the formal welcoming of new parishioners and newborn babies into the parish.

The Christian Women also sponsor the Quilters, who meet on Tuesdays at 9:00 am. The quilters work together to make quilts that are donated to the needy, the missions, and raffles.

Activities and meetings of the Christian Women's Society are published in the bulletin.

Walking With Purpose - Women's Bible Study

The women’s bible study “Walking with Purpose” will offer two study courses this fall.

‘Opening Your Heart’ is an introductory course that reviews many of the Catholic teachings we have learned throughout our lives and connects them to Scripture. The questions in this study may cause you to think about new concepts and others might find it a review.

‘Grounded in Hope’ is an intermediate study and explores the book of Hebrews. It will help you encounter Jesus in such a powerful, comforting, and stabilizing way that He can become your lifeline. Hebrews presents the greatness of Christ as no other New Testament writer does, and beholding Him will transform you.

All women are welcome to join us for coffee and meaningful conversation as we watch one of the videos. No previous experience is necessary. Just come as you are—with your questions, doubts, joys, and hopes. We have an empty chair and a cup of coffee waiting for you!

Babysitting will be provided free of charge.

We hope you can join us on Wednesday, September 27, at 9:15 am (right after the 8:30 am Mass) or on Thursday, September 28, at 6:00 pm in the Shepherd of the Hills Coffee House.

For more information, contact Sue Braun or Kathy Teofilo.

The Father's Club

The Father's Club is a 'getting together' of dads who have suffered the death of a child. Come join us for brotherhood and pizza. No reservation needed, just show up! For more information about this club, please contact Tim Scannell.

St. Michael's Men's Group
